Small US federal issue gear pack from an Illinois vet. "US" stenciled on front. Interior marked in ink "June 16, 1898 to Ap. 26, 1899 in 2nd Ill. Vol." Section of cloth missing at rear of pack. Still displays nicely as ink writing is still clear. Comes with a canteen, again federal issue with faint "US" stamped on front. Lead neck, round body, no cork. Rust stains on cover with section of cover missing on reverse. Salty with age, but still nice relic items for the Illinois/Span Am collector.
