Now here’s an odd one. This is a standard US Staff and Field used from about 1860 thru 1910. This one is very short, 32 inches from pommel to drag. It has the usual federal heraldic acid etching to the blade, but it appears to be named to a woman. The name panel looks like “Eva Blevins”. The blade seller was the “Fraternal Sword, badge, and Regalia House. Cincinnati, Ohio”. Maybe a wedding sword? Made for a woman’s auxiliary of the GAR? Woman’s Relief Corps? Fittings are solid brass and nickeling. Unusual.
